I am Jen Bernini, the founder of Carpe Diem Therapy & Wellness, a practice dedicated to supporting individuals and families from diverse backgrounds in navigating life's challenges. With a profound passion for mental health and a commitment to promoting well-being, I bring substantial experience and expertise to my role. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Waynesburg University and hold an MA in Clinical Counseling from Lakeland University. Over the years, I have specialized in addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, stress management, and trauma recovery, always focusing on compassionate, client-centered care. My therapeutic approach emphasizes personalized care plans, evidence-based practices, and the cultivation of resilience and inner strength.
In addition to my professional accomplishments, I strive to be warm and empathetic, encouraging clients to connect and feel supported. My work is characterized by a strong belief in the importance of creating a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, being in nature, riding motorcycles, and actively engaging in my Italian culture that we moved away from in 2017. These experiences enrich my understanding of life’s diverse challenges and enhance my ability to provide holistic, comprehensive care to my clients. Whether through individual therapy, group sessions, or community involvement, I am dedicated to making a positive impact and helping others achieve a balanced, fulfilling life.
